An original acrylic painting on canvas titled “Illusion” by Michael Aron, 2026. 26 x 38 inches float framed in silver finished wood. The painting depicts the fishing boat “Illusion” docked in Greenport on a day so foggy that Shelter Island and the horizon disappear from view. This 80 ft. vessel is owned and operated by Mark Phillips a commercial fisherman and his family. In the recent past our harbor was filled with commercial fishing boats, not luxury yachts.
Michael Aron studied art and design at the Academy of Fine Art and Design in Genk, Belgium and received his BFA from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in NYC.
