Utterly amazing art glass decanter or bottle with stopper designed by Gio Ponti for the famed Murano maker Venini. It is form #4493 “Elixir Bottle” aka “Morandiane” as shown on page 398 of Paolo Venini and His Furnace. Designed in 1949. Purchased in the 1990s at the Corning Glass Museum, never used or displayed. Flawless. Blue and white latticino canes in clear crystal. Unmarked, which is unusual. About 14 inches tall with the stopper.
