Marvelous one-of-a-kind color monotype on Arches paper by Bruce J. Bloom. Circa early 2000s. It measures 12 × 12 inches as framed. This particular example is reminiscent of the Post-Impressionists.
Bloom (1935-2019) had a long career in advertising before turning his attention to painting and printmaking. He was a resident of the North Fork of Long Island, not far from our gallery. His work was varied, including abstract and figurative subjects. One commonality is a superb understanding of color and composition, as well as an expert technique and high quality materials. We acquired his work directly from the estate.
