Bold, abstracted, textured woodcut titled Architecture by New York artist J. M. Barton. Dated 1956, this fine midcentury modern print is framed in a deeply recessed black wood beveled frame with a gold leaf edge and glass. One of my favorite pieces in the shop. 12 x 8 1/2 inches framed. John Murray Barton (1921 – 2000) studied at the Art Students League with George Bridgman. His works are in several public collections including:
